LetsVote campaign to raise voter awareness and participation in the upcoming elections in cities has gained strong momentum in the city of Hyderabad and neighboring regions.
The award winning, apolitical nonprofit Civil Society Organization, since 2008 LetsVote that strives to engage, connect and contribute in raising awareness about the right to vote amongst citizens has launched a “Digital Democracy Votathon”. Besides unveiling “Storybox”, LetsVote is organizing a Walkathon on 25th November at Gachibowli Stadium to raise awareness about the right to vote, and the power of voting.
To expand the outreach, LetsVote along with HYSEA and with assistance from Lifecykul App has launched and commenced “LetsVote Digital Democracy Votathon ”. Marking the launch, on Friday, around 500+ Engineers covered around 4 km distance to educate the public. Dr. K Subbarangaiah, National Convener, Let’s Vote, Krishna Prasad Pinapala, CEO, SoCtronics, and Chief of Staff, INVECAS along with their engineers walked the streets of Nanakramguda.
Digital Democracy Votathon App , a unique voter engaging endeavor
The idea of the Votathon App is to encourage citizen participation, allowing them to propagate the importance of Voting along with fitness. Any citizen can download the Lifecykul App and go to the Votathon section to participate, after downloading they start by walking or cycling to educate the importance of Voting to the public. At the end of each session the user will know exactly how many kilometres they have covered educating the public.
Storybox Innovative LetsVote Awareness Dispenser Gains Students Attention
LetsVote has also collaborated with the “StoryBox” a social entrepreneur’s team to reach out to the young school students by placing innovative dispensers of reading content. LetsVote believe, children of today are the citizens of tomorrow. Further, children can motivate grown-ups to exercise their right to vote too.
LetsVote has enabled valuable election process related content that will educate the electoral processes among students and their families through these Story Boxes that are placed at 25 schools, and targeting to reach 40 schools. We are also working with the different school managements to increase awareness, said the team. Any school who are interested can also reach out to LetsVote Team or StoryBox team to install the StoryBox at their schools.
Walkathon in partnership with Chief Electoral Office, Telangana
A Walkathon in partnership with Chief Electoral Office, Telangana, will be conducted by LetsVote to raise Voter awareness on Saturday 25th November 2023, Shri. Vikas Raj Chief Electoral Officer will flag off the walk at 6:30 am at Gachibowli Stadium.
We anticipate 4000 + participation from IT employees, students, first time voters, general public and celebrities said, Dr. K Subbarangaiah, National Convener, Let’s Vote.
