August 19, 2024: The Climate Smart Agritech cohort under the Rapid Innovation and Startup Expansion (RISE) Accelerator program by NITI Aayog’s Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), in collaboration with Australia’s Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO), is calling agriculture startups from India and Australia to join the program and leverage its far reaching benefits.
This initiative is now accepting applications from startups and MSMEs focused on advancing agricultural technologies.
The RISE Accelerator aims to facilitate international growth for businesses between India and Australia. Startups and MSMEs in both countries working to enhance agricultural productivity and resilience are eligible to participate.
The nine-month program will offer a blend of online learning, in-person sessions, and immersive experiences in both nations.
India-Australia RISE Accelerator Invites Climate Smart Agritech Startups and MSMEs
Participants will receive tailored support, including market insights, coaching, and mentorship from industry experts. Additionally, the program will feature field trials and technology pilots, providing practical experience and exposure to new markets.
Applications for the RISE Accelerator are open until September 15, 2024. The program offers no participation fees and includes opportunities for travel between India and Australia. Selected startups may also access up to Rs 45 lakhs in non-equity grants.
Launched in 2023, the RISE Accelerator has been pivotal in helping startups validate and scale their technologies. Tamara Ogilvie, Program Director at CSIRO, emphasized the program’s role in addressing the unique agricultural challenges faced by both countries, facilitating global market integration.
