Ati Motors, an autonomous industrial robots manufacturer has successfully raised $10.85 million in a Series A funding to accelerate its global expansion plans, targeting strategic markets in the US, Southeast Asia, and Mexico. Additionally, the company aims to venture into new territories, including Europe and Japan, through strategic global partnerships.
The startup’s ambitious vision extends beyond logistics, as it looks to diversify its product offerings for use cases in pharmaceuticals, chemicals, and injection molding sectors, among others. Saurabh Chandra stated in an interview with YourStory that Ati Motors currently serves more than 18 customers across 30 plants, and its intent to leverage its strong partnerships to penetrate new markets holds the promise of further growth and impact.
Under the leadership of Saurabh Chandra, who took over as CEO after co-founders Vinay V and Saad Nasser stepped down last year, Ati Motors has gained significant traction in the industry. The company’s innovative robotic solutions have captured the attention of major players, making it a preferred choice among key customers like Bosch, TVS, Hyundai, and CEAT in both India and the US.
Ati Motors currently boasts two highly sought-after products—Sherpa Tug and RollerTop. The Sherpa Tug, renowned for its exceptional payload capacity of up to 1,000 kilograms, stands as the company’s flagship product. Furthermore, Ati Motors recently introduced Sherpa Pivot, a customizable solution catering to diverse industrial use cases, demonstrating its commitment to continuous innovation and meeting the evolving needs of its clients.
The successful funding round not only bolsters Ati Motors‘ financial standing but also reinforces its position as a frontrunner in the autonomous robotics industry. The funding round was led by prominent Silicon Valley venture capital firm True Ventures. Existing investors, including Blume Ventures, Exfinity Ventures, and MFV Partners, also participated in the funding round, as announced in a recent press release.
