May 28, 2025: Growth Accelerator and VC Fund Expert Dojo, has launched an India-centric startup accelerator programme, and aims to deploy $100,000 each in more than 10 emerging startups, including technology, AI, EV and B2B.
So far, Expert Dojo has invested in more than 300 startups since it began operations in 2018. The accelerator targets pre-seed and seed-stage companies with high growth potential, especially in the tech industry.
The company claims that most of its startups are minority and female founded technology firms, with 41% of its investments are into female founded/led companies.
Expert Dojo to offer mentorship and access to investor network
The US-based early-stage venture capital firm revealed in a statement that the cohort is structured to enable early-stage startups consolidate their venture models, foray into new markets, and forge swiftly toward securing their next investment round. Besides capital, the startups will benefit from mentorship, growth support and access to its investor network.
Expert Dojo Founder and Managing Partner Brian Mac Mahon said, “As the startup world expands beyond Silicon Valley, we see enormous promise in regions like India, where innovation is thriving.”
Expert Dojo added, the purpose of this cohort is to back Indian founders countering challenges relating to limited access to global capital, unmet need for international mentorship, and narrow market reach. The fund is sector agnostic, despite its focus on high potential areas like fintech, SaaS, B2B, and AI.
“India is not just a market for us, it’s a priority. We see a powerful wave of innovation emerging from Tier I cities to remote corners of the country, led by founders who understand real problems on the ground,” Expert Dojo General Partner Ashutosh Kumar stated.
The VC fund had earlier announced a $15 million India-focused fund, with plans to deploy in 20–25 early-stage startups by FY 2026.
