Rocket Bags $15M to Simplify Building Apps with AI

Surat/Palo Alto, Sept 23: Rocket, an AI-powered co-pilot for building production-ready apps and websites, has raised $15 million in seed funding. The investment will accelerate the company’s R&D pipeline, accelerate product expansion.

The fresh capital will support the opening of a new North American headquarters in Palo Alto, deepening its footprint in the global tech ecosystem.

Founded just four months ago by Rahul Shingala, Vishal Virani, and Deepak Dhanak, the Surat-headquartered startup is positioning itself at the forefront of the AI-native software development movement.

The technology platform allows users, from solo developers to Fortune 100 teams, to rapidly turn ideas into scalable, fully functional applications with minimal coding overhead.

The platform isn’t just another low-code platform. It’s a shift in how apps are built. By focusing on idea-to-execution workflows, Rocket streamlines the entire application lifecycle, from concept to deployment, supporting everything from internal tools to full-scale consumer-facing applications.

“We’re not just helping teams write code faster — we’re making software creation accessible, scalable, and intuitive,” said Deepak Dhanak, Rocket’s COO. “With our new base in Palo Alto, we aim to tap into Silicon Valley’s enterprise networks and meet the growing demand for AI-native development tools.”

The platform’s AI engine has already gained global traction, with over 400,000 users across 180 countries, and more than 500,000 production-ready apps built on the platform. The U.S. remains the largest market, but adoption is quickly expanding in Europe, the Middle East, and South America.

Scaling Globally, Hiring Aggressively

The funding round, led by Salesforce Ventures and Accel, with participation from Together Fund, will also support aggressive hiring plans. Rocket currently employs 60 team members across India and the U.S., with plans to double its engineering and product teams in India within the next 12 to 15 months.

“Rocket is democratizing software development and flipping the economics of building digital products,” said Kartik Gupta, investor at Salesforce Ventures.
“They’re enabling anyone with an idea to build enterprise-grade applications — fast.”

Why It Matters: The Future of App Development Is AI-First

Rocket’s success signals a shift in how modern development teams think about building products. Instead of manually coding every feature, Rocket’s co-pilot automates boilerplate tasks, intelligently scaffolds architectures, and lets teams iterate faster than ever before, a crucial advantage in an increasingly competitive software landscape.

“Their ability to solve large-scale, complex problems while keeping developer experience seamless is what truly sets them apart,” said Prayank Swaroop, Partner at Accel.

With its fresh funding, Rocket plans to roll out new AI capabilities, enhance platform scalability, and deepen integrations with enterprise tools, aiming to make AI-native app development the new norm for teams worldwide.
