Startup Moms Home Raises ₹5Cr to Expand Organic Baby Care Line

Startup, Moms Home, which claims to make 100% organic cotton baby essentials has raised ₹5Cr to embark on its expansion journey in the sustainable and organic apparel brands markets with a focus on organic baby care products.

The Jaipur based startup co-founded in 2018 by Kumar Vaibhav and Bhupendra Agarwal, is engaged in the business of sustainable and organic apparel and baby essentials products.

Commenting on the fund raise, Kumar Vaibhav said, “The fresh capital injection will enable Moms Home to strengthen its brands in terms of distribution, new product launches, and address various whitespace opportunities in sustainable categories.”

Reflecting the ethos of conscious consumerism, Moms Home operates two direct-to-consumer (D2C) brands: Moms Home and Footprints. The brands targets sustainable baby essentials and apparel consumers, offering products crafted from natural materials such as cotton, bamboo, and muslin.

“To date, Moms Home and Footprints have served more than 2 million consumers across 300 cities in India. Our commitment to sustainability has garnered trust from over 5 Lakh mothers,” Vaibhav proudly stated. The startup’s products are available on their dedicated websites and prominent marketplaces, including Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, and others.

The baby care essentials startup intends to utilize the funding to expand its offline presence and introduce new product categories, further reinforcing its commitment to sustainability. Bhupendra Agarwal emphasized, “Sustainability lies at the core of both the brands. It is integrated into every aspect of the production cycle — right from selecting sustainable yarns to dyes and packaging.”

Speaking about the strategic partnership with Mistry Ventures, Vaibhav expressed, “Moms Home team is truly excited to partner with Mistry Ventures in our journey to expand and build a strong mother and baby brand that is trustworthy, safe, and affordable.”

Moms Home reports ARR of ₹20Cr

The startup, with an impressive annual run rate (ARR) of INR 20 Crore, delivers over 30,000 orders per month. Firoz Mistry from Mistry Ventures lauded Moms Home’s positive unit metrics and its ability to create star products in each category.

Moms Home‘s product line spans the entire spectrum of baby care needs, offering clothing, bedding, nursing essentials, feeding accessories, diapers, and more. The startup has positioned itself as a comprehensive solution provider for new parents seeking organic and eco-friendly options.

Footprints, one of Moms Home‘s brands, focuses on sustainable apparel and accessories, particularly socks made from 100% organic cotton and bamboo blends. Vaibhav stated, “Footprints has sold over 2 million pairs of socks through its retail partnerships, its own website, and other online platforms.”

As the demand for organic baby care products surges in India, the startup finds itself in a promising market. A report by Maximise Market Research estimates the country’s baby care product market to reach almost $24.27 billion by 2027, driven by the increasing preference for safe and organic ingredients. The trend towards value-based consumption extends beyond urban areas, presenting substantial opportunities for startups like Moms Home to cater to the evolving needs of parents.
