We Founder Circle Eyes Doubling Startup Investments in 2024

Investment firm We Founder Circle (WFC) has claimed that the firm has become the country’s largest angel investor network in 2023, with investments in 103 deals encompassing 82 startups, cementing its position as a pivotal player in India’s startup ecosystem. With a staggering total of 207 deals across 162 startups within just three years of inception, WFC’s impact on the startup landscape is undeniable.

Among the notable achievements this year, over 15 startups progressed to their subsequent funding rounds, while WFC facilitated partial exits in three startups, marking a significant stride for its investors.

In a recent statement, We Founder Circle revealed that discussions for five partial exits are progressing, involving corporate VCs and acquisition offers, indicating a thriving investment landscape for the firms associated with the network.

A testament to its global reach, WFC’s network boasts participation from over 1,000 investors representing 400 cities and 40 countries, contributing over $30 million across 200+ deals in the past three years. Neeraj Tyagi, Co-founder and CEO of We Founder Circle, emphasized their commitment to the startup and investor community, highlighting the platform Invstt.com and the backing of two angel funds.

Tyagi expressed ambitions for the coming year, stating, “In 2023, we could invest in over 100 startups, but in the coming year, we will be investing in at least 200+ start-ups and catalyze their growth through our multiple funds.”

We Founder Circle’s support spans diverse industries, including deep-tech, Web3, fintech, healthtech, agritech, EV, and D2C, underscoring their expansive reach across multiple sectors.

Additionally, the global accelerator programme EvolveX, spearheaded by WFC, invested in over 25 startups this year. Several seed-stage startups from this initiative have shown remarkable growth, securing subsequent funding rounds at increased valuations.
