This encompasses the entire hydrogen production cycle, including water treatment, electrolysis, gas purification, drying, and hydrogen compression. The core criterion mandates that the emission must not exceed 2 kg CO2 equivalent per kg of hydrogen produced.
To ensure the credibility and rigor of this momentous regulation, the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy is poised to articulate a meticulous methodology encompassing measurement, reporting, monitoring, on-site verification, and certification of green hydrogen and its derivatives.
The pivotal responsibility of accrediting agencies for monitoring, verification, and certification of Green Hydrogen production projects will lie with the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), a division of the Ministry of Power.
