Ayodhya, the Vedic City Undergoes Digital Rejuvenation

The birthplace of Lord Ram is undergoing a profound digital rejuvenation and technological leap, catalyzed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s inauguration of the Shree Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir. Ayodhya is in the midst of transforming into a Spiritual Center, a Global Tourism Hub, and a sustainable Smart City.

Plans for a Greenfield township are underway, featuring accommodations for devotees, Ashrams, Hotels, and Bhavans. The city will also boast a tourist facilitation center and a world-class museum, with special attention given to the development of infrastructure around the Saryu River and its ghats.

PM Modi envisions the Vedic City as a city that embodies the finest traditions and the pinnacle of developmental transformations. The city is poised to become the nexus where tradition converges with technological advancement, and spirituality intersects with digital progress.

The ongoing construction boom in the Vedic City includes widening roads, developing multilayer car parks, renovating temples, and improving the ghats along the Saryu River. This metamorphosis has given rise to a surge in economic activities, transforming the once serene town into a bustling center of growth. From boatmen on the Saryu River to vendors at Hanuman Garhi, the landscape is witnessing a rapid shift towards digital payments.

Digital transactions are becoming the norm in Ayodhya, evident in the acceptance of payments via QR codes by vendors like Shri Ramdhan Yadav, a puja item shopkeeper along the riverbanks. The shift towards digital payments aligns with the government’s Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY), promoting awareness about flagship central schemes and contributing to the vision of a ‘Digital India.’

Ayodhya’s digital renaissance is not just a modernization effort but a convergence of ancient traditions with cutting-edge technology, propelling the city into a new era of progress and prosperity.
