The Udyam Sakhi Portal in fostering self-reliance among women entrepreneurs across several regions, including Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, and Andaman & Nicobar Islands. The Udyam Sakhi Portal, meticulously developed by the Institute for Design of Electrical Measuring Instruments (IDEMI), an organization under the Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MoMSME), has emerged as a pivotal platform offering an array of services tailored to empower women in the business sphere.

Facilitating access to vital resources, the portal presents an extensive repository of financial schemes from the Ministry of MSME and other central Ministries/Departments, encompassing PMEGP, CGTMSE, MUDRA, TReDS, among others. Additionally, it offers insights into policies, programmes, and assistance in drafting business plans, along with comprehensive details of nodal offices and supporting organizations under the Ministry of MSME across different States and Union Territories.

Udyam Sakhi Portal Empowers Women Entrepreneurs Across Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, and Andaman & Nicobar Islands

The impact of this Udayam Sakhi initiative is unmistakably evident in the number of beneficiaries it has touched in various regions. Maharashtra recorded 580 beneficiaries, closely followed by Tamil Nadu with 553, and Andaman & Nicobar Islands with 3 beneficiaries. The financial commitment towards the development of the Udyam Sakhi Portal stood at a noteworthy Rs. 43.52 lakhs, a testament to the investment in fostering women’s entrepreneurship.

Furthermore, the breakdown of beneficiaries belonging to Scheduled Castes, Other Backward Classes, Scheduled Tribes, and the General Category in Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu reflects the inclusivity and wide-ranging impact of this initiative, empowering individuals from diverse backgrounds.
