New Google for Startups Targets 200+ AI Innovators in Telangana

Hyderabad, September 16, 2025: Hyderabad is set to welcome a new innovation hub dedicated to AI-driven startups, as Google for Startups (GfS) prepares to open its doors within T-Hub. The hub will officially launch on December 9 this year, with Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy leading the inauguration ceremony.

This collaboration between Google and the Government of Telangana aims to foster the growth of AI-first startups by providing access to global markets, resources, and mentorship. The project will offer tailored support to entrepreneurs, focusing on key sectors such as climate, health, and education.

AI Startups to Thrive with Google-Telangana Google for Startups Initiative

The Google for Startups Hub will house senior experts in AI/ML, product design, and Go-to-Market (GTM) strategies, who will conduct workshops and sessions designed to strengthen the capabilities of early-stage startups, developers, and student founders. In addition, Google plans to offer customized programs for women entrepreneurs, Tier-2 innovators, and university talent, helping to nurture an innovation mindset among more than 10,000 students annually.

This partnership is part of a broader effort to align with Telangana’s economic vision of becoming a $1 trillion economy by 2034 and a $3 trillion economy by 2047. The new hub is expected to be a key player in driving this vision forward by supporting the creation of over 200 startups in the coming year, with 30% of them expected to focus on AI and deep-tech.

Google’s involvement will also attract significant funding to the region, with projections suggesting that over ₹50 crore could flow into local ventures through networks facilitated by both Google and T-Hub.

This Google for Startups initiative will also bring leading venture capitalists from Silicon Valley, Japan, and Southeast Asia, along with corporate innovation leaders, to collaborate with local entrepreneurs. Google will also introduce special bootcamps and innovation days to equip startups with the company’s tools, cloud credits, and AI/ML technologies.

By creating an environment focused on AI innovation and entrepreneurship, the Google-Telangana partnership aims to make Hyderabad a prominent global hub for AI startups and contribute significantly to the region’s economic and technological growth.
