403 Startups Get ₹11.45 Cr Lifeline as Rajasthan Empowers Its Youth

Wednesday, March 18, 2026: Rajasthan Upskilling Surge and Startups funding lifeline unveiled. The Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma today handed out 9,400 Certificates and ₹11.45 Cr Startup Lifeline. He marked Rajasthan Day by distributing skill certificates to more than 9,400 youths and extending vital financial backing to 403 startups in Jaipur.

The dual-pronged initiative underscores a major shift in the state’s strategy, moving beyond traditional employment to foster a generation of self-reliant innovators and industry-ready professionals.

By awarding these certificates to candidates trained under government-backed programs, the administration aims to bridge the persistent gap between academic education and the aggressive demands of the modern job market.

The highlight of the event was the disbursement of ₹11.45 crore in Viability Gap Funding (VGF) to a diverse group of 403 early-stage enterprises. These startups, meticulously vetted by the state-run Bhamashah Techno Hub, span critical sectors including technology, manufacturing, and social services.

Chief Minister of Rajasthan noted that this capital injection is specifically designed to stabilize ventures that possess high-potential business models but struggle with initial financial constraints. By providing this “lifeline,” the state hopes to help these businesses scale efficiently and eventually attract significant private investment.

Looking ahead, the government’s 2026–27 roadmap includes the establishment of the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Global Centre for Advanced Skilling in Jaipur and the deployment of ICT labs across 50 polytechnic colleges. These infrastructure upgrades, paired with interest-free loans for 5,000 tribal youth under the Mukhyamantri Yuva Swarozgar Yojana, signal a long-term commitment to inclusivity.

Through these reforms and the “One District, One Product” initiative, Rajasthan is positioning itself as a premier hub for entrepreneurship, ensuring that its youth are equipped to not only find work but to create it for others.
