October 15, 2026: Dehradun based health technology startup Sunfox Technologies has raised $7 million in Series A funding to expand its portable cardiac diagnostics platform, Spandan, across India and international markets.
The fresh capital will support research and development, strengthen the company’s domestic presence and accelerate its expansion plans in the United States, Europe and Africa.
The startup has deployed nearly 60,000 devices across India, with its technology reaching more than 20,000 villages. Its portable electrocardiogram device, Spandan, is designed to improve access to cardiac assessment, particularly in areas where access to diagnostic facilities may be limited.

Sunfox‘s latest funding comes as the company looks to scale its technology and expand its reach beyond India. The company’s focus on portable cardiac diagnostics positions it to address the need for more accessible heart health assessment in underserved communities.
The company has also received recognition as a Deep Tech Startup from the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India.
Sunfox’s origins date back to 2016, when it was established as a research and development lab in Uttarakhand. The company later gained wider attention through its appearance on the television investment show Shark Tank India, where its portable ECG technology attracted interest.
The startup subsequently secured an additional Rs 15 crore in a pre Series A funding round, adding to its fundraising efforts as it worked to expand its business.
Anupam Mittal, an investor and judge on Shark Tank India, has also praised the company’s Spandan device. In a social media post, Mittal said the company’s sales had increased up to five times since its appearance on the show.
With its latest $7 million funding round, Sunfox plans to build on its existing deployment network and pursue opportunities in overseas markets. The company’s ability to expand adoption while continuing product development will be key to its next phase of growth.
