NuSynth to Invest $4M to Fix Complex Synthesis Bottleneck

October14,2026: NuSynth Technologies has raised Rs 36.5 crore (approximately $4 million) to redesign complex chemical synthesis pathways, targeting the high costs and foreign raw material dependencies that burden India’s manufacturing sector.

The startup plans to deploy the capital directly into laboratory infrastructure, scale up testing facilities, and recruit specialized technical talent to build a portfolio of proprietary chemical processes.

While India manufactures bulk chemicals at scale, producing advanced molecules still demands multi-step synthesis routes that rely on expensive imported reagents, consume heavy energy, and stall at the commercial plant stage.

NuSynth bypasses standard, incremental modifications by re-engineering reaction routes from basic scientific principles. The company analyzes raw materials, reaction mechanics, and plant economics to map out shorter synthetic pathways that lower overall production costs, reduce hazardous inputs, and speed up plant cycle times.

Laboratory data from these trials feeds into an internal computational engine, creating a specialized knowledge base. This setup screens new target molecules and forecasts synthesis behaviors, trimming months off the traditional transition from bench research to commercial production.

The company will introduce its first commercial routes into the pharmaceutical and electronic chemical markets before broadening operations into other industrial segments.

NuSynth Plans Phased Rollout Targeting Pharma And Electronic Chemicals

“The next phase of growth will depend on our ability to redesign the core chemistry,” said Poorvank Purohit, co-founder and chief executive officer of NuSynth Technologies. “Our goal is to build proprietary processes out of India that offer measurable cost advantages and cleaner footprints for international buyers.”

Purohit, previously the managing director and chief executive of Solara Active Pharma Sciences, established the company alongside Dr Ramesha A R, an Indian Institute of Science alumnus and former National Institutes of Health postdoctoral researcher who oversees technical research. The operational leadership includes Abhishek Deo and Dipak Bajaj, who bring execution backgrounds from companies including Zetwerk, Mstack, and BlackBuck.

The seed financing round was co-led by Avaana Capital and Shastra VC.
