August 27, 2026: Runable, a Bengaluru based agentic AI startup, is betting that the next phase of AI adoption among small businesses will go beyond productivity tools and into day to day business operations. The company is building AI agents that can help small businesses create, manage and grow their operations without needing separate tools or teams for every function.
Founded in 2025 by Umesh Kumar and Saksham Sarda, Runable allows users to build websites, internal applications, mobile apps, presentations and media assets using natural language. Its platform also covers areas such as paid advertising, social media management, cold email, direct messaging, voice calls, SEO, answer engine optimisation and customer support.
The larger opportunity for Runable lies in connecting these functions rather than offering them as standalone features. A small business may already have access to software for marketing, sales and customer support, but the business owner still has to decide what needs to be done, move information between tools and monitor the results.
Runable is trying to put AI agents in the middle of that process. The company plans to expand its marketing capabilities and improve campaign measurement, while giving its agents more autonomy to identify what is working and make campaign changes independently. This moves the product from AI that creates or recommends something towards AI that can execute and optimise a workflow.
That distinction could matter particularly for Runable’s target customers. Most of its users are small business owners, with the typical customer running a two person business such as an agency, consultancy or cleaning company. These businesses may not have dedicated teams for marketing, sales, operations or technology, making automation potentially more valuable than another productivity feature.
Runable says it has grown from zero to $2 million in annual recurring revenue within three weeks of launch and has reached 1.5 million users. Its users are spread across markets including the US, UK, Japan and Brazil.
Runable scale its learning platform
The company is also expanding beyond the product itself. Runable plans to scale Runable Academy, its free learning module for small business owners, and hire across engineering, machine learning, product, growth and support.
The broader market is moving in a similar direction. Indian startups are increasingly building AI systems that can handle complete business workflows rather than individual tasks. Kapture has raised funding for its enterprise agentic AI platform, while Edysor.ai is building voice and chat agents for lead qualification and conversion.
For Runable, the bigger test will be whether small businesses are willing to let AI take responsibility for decisions, rather than simply using it as an assistant. Creating an ad or website is one thing. Allowing an agent to analyse performance and change a live campaign without human intervention requires a much higher level of trust.
That makes Runable’s next phase less about adding another AI feature and more about proving that autonomous software can actually run parts of a business reliably.
The startup has raised $21 million in Series A funding in a round co led by Susquehanna Venture Capital and Nexus Venture Partners, with participation from existing investors Together Fund and Array VC. The fresh capital will be used to expand Runable’s growth capabilities and build towards a more autonomous AI driven operating layer for small businesses.
