Chandrayaan-3 Successful Take Off to Inspire Generations

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) achieved a significant milestone today as it successfully launched Chandrayaan-3, its third lunar mission. Taking place at the Sriharikota launch facility on July 14, the mission aims to propel India into an elite group of nations capable of achieving a soft landing on the moon.

The launch was carried out using the heavy-lift LVM3-M4 rocket, also known as ‘Fat Boy,’ which majestically soared into the sky, emitting thick plumes of smoke at precisely 2:35 p.m., following a meticulous 25.30-hour countdown.

Chandrayaan-3, comprising an indigenous lander module (LM), propulsion module (PM), and a rover, sets its sights on the South Pole region of the Moon. The mission’s primary objective is to develop and demonstrate new technologies necessary for future inter-planetary endeavors. If successful, India will join the ranks of the United States, China, and the former Soviet Union as nations that have accomplished such a feat.

The previous lunar mission, Chandrayaan-2, experienced a tragic conclusion when the Indian Space Research Organisation lost contact with the Vikram lander on September 7, 2019. However, with the launch of Chandrayaan-3, India embarks on a new chapter in its space odyssey, symbolizing resilience and determination.

India’s Ambition Takes Flight: Chandrayaan-3 Begins Epic Lunar Journey

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his pride and hailed the launch of Chandrayaan-3 as a significant achievement for India’s space exploration efforts. In a tweet, he stated, “Chandrayaan-3 scripts a new chapter in India’s space odyssey. It soars high, elevating the dreams and ambitions of every Indian. This momentous achievement is a testament to our scientists’ relentless dedication. I salute their spirit and ingenuity!”

The President of India in her message tweeted – India successfully launches Chandrayaan-3 marking another significant milestone in space exploration. Heartiest congratulations to the @ISRO team and everyone who worked relentlessly to accomplish the feat! It demonstrates the nation’s unwavering commitment to advancement in space science and technology. My best wishes for the success of the lunar mission.

Home Minister Amit Shah in his message wrote – India today embarked on its historic space journey with the successful launch of Chandrayaan-3. My heartfelt congratulations to the @ISRO scientists whose tireless pursuit has today propelled India on the path of scripting a remarkable space odyssey for generations to cherish.

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah also commended the successful launch, considering it a proud moment for India. He believes that this achievement will inspire young minds to pursue research in science and technology, marking a new milestone in India’s space research and innovation.
