New Delhi, May 30, 2023 – Heliport License in India has been made simpler now. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has announced a major simplification in the process for granting Heliport Licenses. With this new development, applicants can now route their applications for NOC/Clearance to five external organizations through a single tab in their eGCA profile.
Previously, applicants were required to apply separately to the Ministry of Home, Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Environment and Forest, Airport Authority of India, and the Local Administration to obtain the necessary NOC/Clearances. This complex and time-consuming process often posed challenges for aspiring heliport operators.
To streamline and expedite the licensing procedure, the DGCA has introduced a dedicated tab within the eGCA profile of applicants. This tab allows users to submit their applications for NOC/Clearance to the five external organizations conveniently via URL links or emails. By centralizing this step, the DGCA has significantly simplified the process for aspiring heliport operators.
The initiative aligns with the Ministry of Civil Aviation’s commitment to ease of doing business. The eGCA portal, launched in November 2021 by Shri Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, the Minister of Civil Aviation, aims to enhance the efficiency of services provided by the DGCA. This latest enhancement to the portal reflects the ministry’s ongoing efforts to promote a business-friendly environment for the aviation industry.
