Google for Startups has been supporting startups worldwide and has created more than 130,000 jobs and $6.7 billion in funding.
To help improve its efforts, Google is offering accelerator programs and initiatives to support women funders and startups in remote locations in India. The company is now accepting applications for its next Google for Startups Accelerator: India program, which focuses on startups utilizing Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) technologies.
The Google for Startups Accelerator: India is a free, three-month program that does not require equity from seed to Series A tech startups in India. The program provides Indian tech startups with access to Google’s top programs, products, people, and technology.
The program is searching for Indian startups that use AI and ML to tackle complex problems and overcome the biggest challenges in their respective industries. Regardless of the sector, startups that fulfill the following criteria are eligible to apply for the program: the startup should work across various sectors and either already be using or have plans to use AI/ML or data to solve complex problems. Secondly, the startup should be based in India as the program is exclusively for Indian startups. Lastly, the program is best suited for startups in the Seed to Series A stages, although startups beyond this stage can also apply.
Google For Startups Accelerator; What you need to know
The application period for the Google for Startups Accelerator: India is open until April 23, 2023. Startups can participate in weekly virtual open forums held every Friday from 4 to 5 PM (IST) during the application period to get their questions about the accelerator program answered.
Startups chosen for the program will receive guidance and assistance in AI/ML, Cloud, UX, Android, web, product strategy, and growth. The accelerator program offers mentorship and technical project support and provides workshops and in-depth sessions focusing on product design, customer acquisition, and leadership development for founders.

Each accelerator features a cohort of 10-15 top startups that come together to tackle specific technical challenges that can help grow their businesses through a mix of remote and in-person, 1-to-1, group learning sessions, and sprint projects.
Tailored, expert help
Founders outline the top technical challenges for their startup, and are then paired with relevant experts from both Google and the industry to solve those challenges and grow their business.
Specialist deep dives
In addition to mentorship and technical project support, Google for Startups accelerators include deep dives and workshops focused on product design, customer acquisition, and leadership development for founders.
Upon completing the program, a Demo Day is held to help startups establish connections with other ecosystem builders throughout India, increase their visibility, and connect with potential investors. The Google for Startups Accelerator: India aims to support tech startups in India and help them overcome complex problems through AI and ML technologies.
