“The Indian Navy Quiz – THINQ quiz competition has reached an exciting stage as the National Semi-Finals were held on 17 November 2023 at National Centre for Performing Arts (NCPA), Mumbai. Eight schools from different parts of the country qualified for the national finals after competing in two rounds of semi-finals.
The quiz aims to promote awareness and interest among school children about the Indian Navy, its history, achievements, role and challenges, as well as the G20 agenda and its relevance for India and the world. The THINQ quiz also provides an opportunity for the young minds to showcase their knowledge, skills and creativity on a global platform.
The THINQ quiz competition has reached an exciting stage as the National Semi-Finals were held on 17 November 2023 at National Centre for Performing Arts (NCPA), Mumbai. Eight schools from different parts of the country qualified for the national finals after competing in two rounds of semi-finals. The schools are:
- Navy Children School, Mumbai
- Krishna Public School, Raipur
- GD Goenka Public School, Siliguri
- Delhi Public School, Bhopal
- Bhavan’s Vidya Mandir, Kochi
- Sanjay Ghodawat International School, Kolhapur
- DAV Public School, Gurugram
- GMHSS Calicut University Campus, Malappuram
These teams will now face each other in the National finals, which will be held at the Gateway of India on 18 November 2023. The national finals will be a spectacle of intellectual exchange and competition, where the teams will have to answer questions on various topics related to the Indian Navy and the G20. The national finals will also be attended by dignitaries from the Indian Navy, the G20 Secretariat and other stakeholders.
THINQ Quiz – Two Best Quizzers to represent team India for the International round of the Quiz
The national finals will also decide the two best quizzers who will form “Team India” for the international round of the quiz. The international round will be held on 23 November 2023 at India Gate, New Delhi, where “Team India” will compete with teams from other G20 countries. The international round will be a grand finale of the quiz competition, where the teams will have to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of global issues and challenges.
The G20 THINQ is a unique initiative that aims to foster a spirit of curiosity, learning and collaboration among school children across the world. It also reflects the vision and commitment of the Indian Navy and NWWA to contribute to the development of future leaders and global citizens.
