10 Startup Deals & Business Moves Making News This Week

August 20, 2026: India’s startup ecosystem saw a broad mix of funding activity, new market pushes, acquisitions and product launches this week, with companies across consumer, healthcare, logistics, mobility and enterprise technology making moves.

Peeko, a Bengaluru based babycare platform focused on quick commerce, raised Rs 67.4 crore in a Series A round led by Chiratae Ventures. Existing investor Stellaris Venture Partners and angel investors also participated. The company plans to use the capital for expansion, technology and hiring as it looks beyond Bengaluru. Peeko had previously raised $3.2 million in a seed round in 2025.

Sneaker brand Zaydn raised $681,000 in seed funding from Inflection Point Ventures, BeyondSeed and private investors. The company plans to put the money into inventory, production, working capital, marketing and product development as it expands through its own channels and marketplaces such as Myntra, Amazon and Nykaa.

Construction procurement platform Digidukan raised Rs 2 crore from Vinay Gupta and Shubham Gupta of United Plywood Group. The startup is building a 60 minute ordering model for construction material retailers, with the new capital going towards technology, additional categories and expansion across Tier II and Tier III markets.

Healthcare infrastructure startup Tross also raised pre seed funding led by All In Capital, with participation from DeVC. Its platform connects healthcare software with electronic health records, payer portals and other legacy systems in the US. The company plans to expand its engineering team and add more integrations, with a target of supporting more than 200,000 patient interactions in 2026.

Elsewhere, Urban Company is taking its partnership with Unicommerce into the Middle East. Its Saudi Arabia and UAE operations will use Unicommerce’s Uniware platform to manage inventory and fulfilment for the home services business. The two companies already work together in India.

Ather Energy has received approval to sell its electric scooters through the Canteen Stores Department portal. Sales are expected to begin in September, with eight variants from the 450 and Rizta ranges available to eligible Armed Forces personnel. Buyers will receive special discounts along with applicable GST benefits.

In logistics, Fleetx.ai acquired transportation management software company Pando.ai for an undisclosed amount. Pando will continue under its existing brand while the combined business brings fleet visibility and freight execution into a single platform.

India and Japan are also strengthening startup ties. T Hub and Japan’s Oki Electric Industry selected eight Indian deeptech startups from more than 150 applicants for a programme focused on water infrastructure and logistics. The selected companies will work with OKI teams on market validation, pilot projects and potential commercial opportunities in Japan.

Enterprise technology companies continued to expand their product portfolios. TrueFoundry launched TrueForge, an open source platform for building and managing production agents, while Hexnode introduced a new context layer for endpoint management through its Genie conversational interface.
Palo Alto Networks launched a programme focused on protecting critical infrastructure from emerging cyber threats. The company said its research had identified more than 14,000 previously unknown vulnerabilities in open source software, underlining the growing importance of security across enterprise technology.

In healthcare, MetaGO opened its first physical metabolic care centre in Mumbai, extending its digital model into in person consultations and diagnostics. The company plans to add more centres, including one in Bengaluru, by the end of 2026.

CoverSure has entered the insurance gifting market with Insurance Gift Cards, developed with Oxymoney. The company is targeting Rs 100 crore in insurance gifting value over the next 12 months and aims to reach one million families through the initiative.

Taken together, the latest moves point to a startup market that is spreading across more parts of the economy, from household care and baby products to industrial procurement, mobility, healthcare and enterprise software. Funding remains important, but expansion, partnerships and product execution are increasingly shaping the next phase of growth.
