Together, the newly added centres and the existing 18 trained over 3.28 lakh people in 2024–25. The trainees include MSME entrepreneurs, employees, and technical students who are preparing for industry roles.
The centres are rolling out specialised programmes in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Robotics, and the Internet of Things (IoT) to help MSMEs adopt next-generation technologies. These modules now form an integral part of both long-term and short-term courses, ensuring small businesses gain access to skills that are reshaping global production systems.
Minister of State for MSME Sushri Shobha Karandlaje shared the update in a written reply in the Lok Sabha, stating that the centres will continue to equip MSMEs with advanced skills and improve their competitiveness in domestic and international markets.
